Hololens Data Visualization prototype

How can we imagine data analysis with Augmented or Virtual Reality devices?

A small team and I tackled this question over a 10-week project for a major data analysis firm. We designed an AR prototype that visualized spatial data across a standard 3D model. As sole developer, I built the app which synchronized data across 3 Hololens headsets and the client’s desktop application. The app allowed for collaborative viewing of live holographic data.

Architecture application for conceptual stage of building design. Intended for feasibility testing before conceptual architectural design, to ensure a structure's program is manageable within property limits. This was a fruitful collaboration between Archiact and the Vancouver office of Stantec, one of the world's largest archicture and engineering firms, with myself facilitating weekly meetings between partners and leading a Kanban development process.

Rendezvue: VR Viewer for SketchUp

Feb 2018 – Aug 2018
Role: Project Manager

Rapid VR visualization application for mobile devices. A live connection to SketchUp allows modellers to see their 3d building models in VR instantly, and to cast changes between the two devices in real-time. I facilitated an 8 week release plan that came in on-budget and to spec. This was a collaboration between Archiact and AEC firms Stantec and Perkins + Will.

Role: UX Design Prototyper

VR and AR conceptual design application for architects. Arcitectural designers may collaboratively create conceptual building designs rapidly within a VR and/or AR environment. Collaboration between Archiact, Stantec Vancouver, Perkins + Will and ZGF Architects. I designed menu concepts and built prototypes for the Meta 2 headset.
